Despite the fact that I walked this route on a grey January day there was still plenty of interest for a short walk around the town. I don’t imagine that there are still copies of the leaflet available in any of the shops and the tollbooth museum was closed so I no doubt missed out on much of the historic detail but looking for the numbered blue plaques meant I found enough to make the exercise worthwhile.
