This short walk is in three distinct parts – a stroll though the Aldouran Glen gardens (with fully accessible paths), a rougher walk through the wooded glen, and a track/road section back down into Leswalt.
The first section has various options including paths for wheelchair users – who would find it easier to use the small car park at the entrance to the gardens rather than the parking in the village.
In April when I was there the wooded section of the walk was carpeted with wild garlic and the scent was so heavy you could taste it in the air. I saw a pair of young deer that appeared to be grazing on the ramson.
The return section of the walk has some good views over Loch Ryan. Altogether a most enjoyable short walk.
