There is some storm damage on this short walk but nothing that presents too much of a challenge. The leg along the side of the Dee is particularly enjoyable although the path was not always clear when I visited in August – I imagine it is easier to find when the vegetation isn’t so high. Reportedly this path continues down the burn as far as Mossdale although I haven’t been along the rest of it. Finding your way on to the forest track for the return requires a bit of navigation through the trees as it is not clear from the riverside path. All in all a very enjoyable add on to a trip along the Raiders’ Road.
