Although a lot of storm damage was still visible at the time of my visit (August 22) the main trail is now open. The route is along forest tracks which are generally level passing through mixed woodland and spruce plantations, with views in some places – particularly at the confluence of the Waters of Deugh and Ken. There is a route to the pylon on the top of the hill which I will have to come back and do another day.
Thanks to Nina for the cup of coffee – Schöne Feiertage!
