I was fortunate to arrive at this walk on a sunny spring morning at the start of May and as a result it was a real treat. The bluebells were as good as I have seen anywhere and the lack of foliage on the trees opened up the views across the loch, allowing the superb specimen trees dotted along the lochside walk to be seen at their best.
Note that the track to the car park is very rough and the path is muddy in places even after a period of dry weather. The display board at the car park has disappeared. Alternative parking is available at the side of the loch (don’t turn right off the main track).
