Water of Minnoch

A most enjoyable walk – in particular the first half through mature native woods following the course of the river. This section of the path has been improved over the past few years and is perhaps not as wet as it once was. Many thanks to those who have done the work.

The second section of the walk is through conifer plantations but much of it has been cleared so there is good visibility (or would be on a better day than when I visited).

Don’t rely on the cycle route signs that the guide refers to as they seem to have all disappeared. And don’t follow the road on the last section but take the footpath signposted for Stroan Bridge as this runs parallel to the road through more woodland.
