Perhaps it is different at other times of the year, but when I went round this walk in January I found the optional section down to the harbour the most interesting part of the route. If you don’t have an hour to do the full circuit, I would suggest cutting out the Lovers’ Walk section and simply take in the section including the Stake and the Harbour – although if you do have time the whole walk is worthwhile.
Note that the short boardwalk to the Martyrs’ Stake is closed at the time of writing (Jan 23) awaiting repair.
