Unfortunately I didn’t have the best of weather for this walk, and therefore can’t comment on the quality of the views from the top of Warb Law as I could barely see the top of the radio mast, never mind Criffel. Nonetheless it was an enjoyable walk even on very soggy ground – I would recommend that you bear to the left while climbing the hillside as the going is easier towards the top of the ridge.
Note that the riverside path out of Buccleugh Park is officially closed due to a small landslip so you may want to amend the route as suggested by the sign. However on the day I visited it was easy enough to follow the original route.
